TOP 3 HEALTHY FOOD PLACES IN SHEFFIELD

As many of you may have experienced living in a city in the UK, it can be difficult and frustrating to find places to buy or eat healthy food. Alas, all is not bad. The team at SHUstyle are bringing you 3 different places you can go to get healthy food for:

1) Food shopping
2) Takeaway
3) Restaurant

1) Crawshaw Butchers (Food shopping)

Eating healthy with the best quality meats can be so cost effective if you shop at somewhere like Crawshaw Butchers, which is located on The Moor in Sheffield city centre. The best time to go is at the late afternoon mark around 4pm where their best deals are on. No matter what time you end up going, a favourite of mine is the 5 Kilogram bag of chicken breasts which costs £25. This works out at about half the price of what you would pay for chicken breasts in Tesco and will be of a higher quality! For something tasty, you can get pre-marinaded chicken, steak and pork also for reasonable prices.

2) Nourish (Takeaway)

Perhaps a favourite find of mine in Sheffield: Nourish. Located in the city centre opposite Peace Gardens and the town hall, they are a living embodiment that fast food can be totally healthy and mouth-wateringly tasty! If you're on the go you can run in and get anything from a healthy shake, a hot meal or a cold salad. There are also seating areas inside. My personal favourites I go for, which have saved me on more days than I can count, are: 1. High Protein, Low Carb Shake (£2.95) & 2. Chicken and Avocado Wrap (3.95). Staff there are super friendly and the ethics of the company make it a place where I'm happy to spend money. 3) Wagamama (Restaurant)

This is perhaps the the most recognised place I have discussed in this article. For those of you who are not aware, Wagamama describes itself as:

'inspired by traditional japanese ramen bars and asian flavours, we designed wagamama to offer a new kind of dining experience – one that offers fresh japanese-inspired food in a friendly, vibrant setting'

Not a fan of that horrible feeling you get after you gorge down an obnoxious amount of takeaway pizza or multiple greasy Chinese dishes? Wagamama is your answer. A relaxing restaurant experience with food that is appropriately priced as well as nutritious. Luscious, Japanese culinary genius at its best. My shout is the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi meal (About £12).

Hope this short read has inspired some of you to try great tasting healthy alternatives that don't put too much strain on your wallet!
